Niall was born in Dublin. He attended Harvard University, graduating with a Masters in Academic Procrastination.

His debut novel, A Small Gathering of Good Men, was a No.1 New York Times bestseller and has been published in twenty four languages.

Described as the Irish Marie Kondo*, he is known for his controversial views after famously stating “I neither love nor hate marmite. It’s just ok”.

When he worked in retail he twice served Ronan Keating. In the afterlife Ronan will serve him.

He is pro-smoking, but fiercely anti-vape.

He lives in London with his partner and son.
